Well it has happened, the coupon craze has hit my corner :) I've become so consumed with it that it eats up my day in no time. I seem to be shopping more than even however what I spend in a week has diminished substantially lmao.
Its so nice to sit back and look in what used to be a coat closet but is now a fully stock pantry of health and beauty supplies and also regular everyday staple foods.
My grocery trips no longer are full trips of everything needed to make meals but in most cases only the meat. I have not obtained a chest freezer yet so I have no way of storing meat really so this is still a necessary trip on a regular basis as the freezer on fridge is usually packed already :)
I've created a blog specific to my deal findings http://www.ooingle.com I've also detailed the steps you need to take to get started on your way to massive savings.
As I sit here tonight looking over the many sites for what to expect in the morning just making the plan for the next step its crazy. But a good crazy, a crazy that might help my family out of a situation that we can't seem to find any other way out of.
My 4 papers will be in my driveway by 6 am hopefully sooner and I will be up at the crack of dawn clipping away as I am now doing every Sunday. I used to sleep in, I used to enjoy the one day of the week I could and now its the one day of the week I can't wait to come so I can dig in.
This past Sunday it took me 2 1/2 hrs of clipping since there was a total of 4 inserts in each paper.
After that I had to get up and stretch and get a kink in my shoulder out. I also needed a nap lol.
Once I got back up I spent the next hour sorting and putting them in my binder.
By the time my dear hubby got home I had my game plan ready, its wasn't a huge one this past week but it was one. Through the week I had a few other quick trips which is usual and then by Saturday there is always a few final items I've found a deal on that I don't want to let slip by before the new sales start.
Today it was Dawn dish soap on sale at CVS for .99 and I had .50 coupons so I only had to pay .49 a bottle. That added 4 bottles to the 3 of Palmolive from 2 weeks ago and now I am set for a while.
A super quick trip into Dollar General for 4 boxes of Clairol Hair Color and after coupons only paid $1.77 that is basically .44 a box, now mind you that was with tax before it was only .25 a box :)
I also had a quick trip to Wal-mart for some freebies!
8 packs of Rayovac batteries .97 shelf price, I had $1 coupons for them so FREE with Overage.
1 bottle of Pantene Pro-V $3.98 I had a coupon to get it for free, got it in the mail from Pantene
2 boxes of Picolinni pasta Only paid .42 for them after coupons
Oh and one other grab for today was at Publix
2 boxes of Vivarin $3.19 ea, I had .55 coupons for them and then a Publix coupon for $5 off 2 so it made them .14 a box.
I should head to bead as I am taking my hubby to work tomorrow so I can go to a Publix that accepts Target coupons.
There is some Peanut Butter to be had for free and Salad Dressing for only .09 a bottle Woo Hoo :) You see it can be invigorating lmao.
