Hot Tub repairs

Our house came with a hot tub installed on the back porch, we bought the house 2 years ago and for the first few months the tub worked great. Well it acquired a small leak in the plumbing which ended up with a little metal tip that a small hose goes to snapping off. Seemed like a simple enough fix except its not that easy to work under the tub and I have no idea how to take the sides off lol.

Here we are now 2 years later hot tub is deteriorating and I would love to have it back so my goal is to get the shell which seems to still be in good condition cleaned up and flipped over so we can re build its cabinet and get the plumbing right again.

I've been searching the web and so far have only found one good article that covers how to do it yourself. http://www.essortment.com/hottubplan_raxf.htm

I would love for some more ideas on how to go about this as I'm still baffled on how we are suppose to get it off the frame LOL.

I would like to know if it is safe to stand it on its side to clean it out as I think this would be the easiest as I'm gonna need to use bleach on some spots because my kiddo though throwing metal things into the the almost empty tub was a good idea and they have left rust spots now.

SO please if anybody has any suggestions as what i should do I would love to hear them.

Toodles,
~Mom with a Scattered Mind~
