I'm not going to go with the cliche of saying I'm setting a New Years Resolution, I mean honestly whoever sticks to those LOL.
I am however committing myself to be able to do a 5K like nothing by Thanksgiving this year. I'm using the Couch to 5K app on my phone and so its helping quite a bit.
I tried on Sat at a walking park and just had to many distractions because I brought my 7 yr old and was also not in the right emotional state and failed horribly. So I did not record the effort I did, I did however walk a full mile so still not shabby. Just could handle the running.
So this evening to stick to the plan of every other day 3 days a week I went to the gym, started the app up and away I went on the Treadmill and before I knew it I had completed the 30 min program for today and had gone 1.59 miles. I'm just so stoked right now YAY
I had to push through my ankles and feet hurting and going numb but I did and finished Day 1 of Week 1 and can't wait to go back on Weds and do it again and maybe be in less pain :).
