Western Digital Update

Update to: WESTERN DIGITAL Terrible Customer Service

After I had that terrible phone call with Western Digital I sent an email to customer service along with a link to this blog. Well last night I got an email from Jim who is the Manager of Customer Relations. He told me to email him my serial number and he would get everything taken care.
A huge thanks goes out to him, and it goes to show big companies do care if they keep a customer happy. You just sometimes have to be a little louder then a mere asking for assistance.

Thank you Jim and Western Digital for clearing this situation up and in a few weeks I now know I have my eyes on a 750 GB external that Western Digital makes but it comes with a much longer warranty than 1 year.

SO yes I retract my message of not buying Western Digital, just make sure you check the warranty period and that your covered for more than a year.
