Getting Back to New Years Resolutions

I had said I wanted to lose weight this year and just never made it pan out to anything and since making that resolution proceeded to pack on ohh about 15 more lbs :O so in an attempt to finally lose this weight I am back to using http://www.livestrong.com/thedailyplate
See my profile here http://www.livestrong.com/profile/rose3694/ (Add me as a friend if you want)
I use the calorie tracker and try and stick well within the allowed calories for the day.
I am also going to get back to doing 30 mins or more a day on my WiiFit.

This evening I got in 28 mins and seriously broke a sweat and I think I would have to say it was the best workout I've done yet on my WiiFit.

I am also cutting back on my portions and trying to eat only the suggested serving size of things. I have also cut back on my hubby's portions but not down to a serving size. We hopefully will work to that though. That would do him so much good.

Wish me Luck I'm gonna need all I can get.

Weight Loss Journey Entry - Beginning Week 2

For the past week and a half, I used www.thedailyplate.com, I've been tracking everything I eat, everything down to even a little candy that I pick up, and I stick to the amount of calories I'm allowed for each day. I've cut back on how much I eat to fit within the calories. Since doing this I have lost eight pounds in a week and a half. Technically, I'm only supposed to be losing 2 pounds a week but I have managed to lose 3 the first half of a week and then another 5 lbs over the next week.

The only thing I am doing is sticking to the serving size on what I'm eating. Plus walking every day for 30 mins or at least trying. If I can not manage a full 30 mins one day I don't beat myself up over it I just try harder the next day.

Each time I update that website with my weight it cuts my calories back more so I guess its is its own way of helping you stick to your goal of losing 2 lbs per week. I am really finding it easy to stick to. And am not feeling like I'm cheating myself out of what I like I jsut cut back on the quantity. One the other hand everytime I update it withe an activity I did it gives me calories back LOL. tonight I washed the car and it took me like an hour and half to do that and I worked hard on the car it took 754 calories off for me now how cool is that LOL.

I'm thinking I'm totally out of shape :P

Ok so we traded in some game systems and got a Wii :) this thing is sweet hehe, it came with this game called Wii Sports which has Baseball, Tennis, Bowling, Golf and Boxing. Each day it has you do a training session to test what they call your Wii age, first day I started off as a 72 lol (keep in mind ideal is 20) after a few hours playing a moving around with each game because the controls are based on Gyros so you actually get your butt off the couch and move around to play these games, anyways now my arms hurt lol. I played it again last night and my age went to a 33 WOO HOO and the training session in put me through was 3 levels of boxing and man when I got done my arms were cooking hehe. So I can see how this darn Wii could actually give me a workout lol its quite funny actually.
Early next year Nintendo will be releasing something called Wii Fit which actually has you do Core movements to exercise with slow no impact exercises. I'm looking forward to this, I can see how this really might help me lose some weight and firm up and all the while I'm laughing my butt off.

It also is so simple even Kason can play it and feels so accomplished that he is doing well. He loves the baseball game and is getting better and better at actually hitting to ball, he just needs to get his swinging the control at the right moment.

The whole thing is you have to stand like you would for the actual sport to get the movements right. And just like in real life if you get sloppy or lazy with the movement it doesn't do well. Its very cool.

We also got the Zelda - Twilight Princess, I haven't played it much but its basically the same concept, like when sword fighting you swing your controller to hit stuff. Deffinately a new way of gaming :)

We also can go to websites so its neat to browse the web on the TV, we were having fun going to You Tube and watching the videos on the TV lol.
